Fred E. Rice66, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2006. He was born on Janauary 13, 1940 in Indianapolis. He worked as a heavy machine operator for Gradex Excavating, 96th St. Department. He is survived by his loving wife Linda (Houser) Rice of Indianapolis, his step-sons Bryan(Becky) Henderson and Danny (Shannon) Sizemore both of Indianapolis, grandchildren Andrew, Tabetha, Tomi Sue, Bobbi Jo, Emma and Oscar, great-grandchildren; Kolten, Lilie and Kinser, sisters Rosemary Slaughter of Rushville, and Janice Padgett of Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother Irene (Lampher) Padgett and sister Susie Padgett.Visitation will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church at Fountain Square on Wednesday, August 2, from 4-9 pm with a funeral service at 7:30 pm. Pastor Herb Buffenbarger officiating. Memorial donations can be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 920 S. Laurel Street.
